hi people.

has anybody ever changed the speed sensor on a focus?

i have been trying for the past 2 hours and still cant get the pin out. any tips???? i am bleeding now and very stressed.

 

its a bitch int it.
normally if you brake the little finger tag off the old sensor it will reveal a bit more of the metal pin .
next up with molegrips turn the pin to get it moving then sidecutters around it to draw it out .
it is a pain to do on the ramp so if you are on your back doing it my heart goes out to you .
all i can say is keep wiggling !!!

 

the only trick is lots of wd40 and the best pair of selfgrips you can buy (vice grips usually work for me)
tap the pin very carefully in towards the diff first to crack the corrosion between the pin and the gearbox then wiggle up and down and slowly tap it oot if you take you time they normally will come out *

* (ive only had to take out one gearbox)
