Default Oil on clutch

Hi, i topped up the oil in my 205 last night in the dark and think it over flowed a bit from filling too quickly (i couldnt see a thing!)

anyway was driving it later that night and the clutch has started slipping quite badly, even though it has never slipped before in the slightest (got a ragging earlier in the day and didnt slip at all)

Do you think oil could have got into the clutch from this? Does oil ever wear off a clutch? (did 100 or so miles last night and it didnt improve or get noticeably worse?) Maybe some degreaser down the same area might wash the oil off?

going to try adjusting the clutch tonight but im not hopefull as it wasnt biting right at the top anyway!

i dont mean the crank seals gone or anything, im talking about puoringit in the filler too fast so it comes out the top and all over the outside of the gearbox!

As I understand it, if the clutch plate is contaminated, that's it done for
