cossie smoking and missfiring, HELP PLEASE!!
Right got a 200blocked engine in my new 2 wheel drive cos. Got it off a mate knowing its smoking.
Problems so far i see are its missfiring while idleing, sounding like pu pu pu pu puh, rather than a constant idle, you can't even rev it from accelerator just wants to cut out.
Also when idling like this it puffs smoke from the turbo manifold bolts and where its bolted to the exhaust.
Also when u switch it off after this it pisses out oil from the dipstick in a pressurised manner, thought it was petrol when i first saw it.
Also the bottom end seems to have oil all around the sides of it. The headgasket is fine cos its new and done 300miles.
It stinks of rich rich petrol from the exhaust aswell.
I think the matey i got it from had the engine fitted etc and bought grey injectors and put them on it as theres a receipt for it. The thing is i think the injectores have made the problem, cos he told me he has not had it mapped or anything, he just bought them for this new 200 blcked engne he was going to be fitting.
Now, when u take the plugs out no 1 and 4 are nice and clean but the middle two which are 2 and 3 are covered in black soot.
Whatcha guys reckon then?
cheeRS in advance

if its had bigger injecotrs fitted and not had a the chip to suit, it will overfuel massively. the other thing though, the gasket between 2 and 3 is a common place for the gasket to fail, what gasket did u fit and were both surfaces completely flat..?

right took the dipstick out, which also i noticed does not have a tight and secure fit in the tube, its quite loose really.
I took the dipstick out and lit the end of it with a lighter and it caught fire straight away and burned for a few seconds.
I think theres petrol mixed with oil due to the large grey injectors fitted and its all mixed together. Tried the same thing with my rs turbo and it did nothing like this and the end of the dipstick would not light up at all.
Gonna get some new plugs what should the gap on them be for a stage 1 setup? It also has a massive RS500 intercooler aswell for its stage 1 setup.
cheers again peeps

grey injecotrs coupled with a stg 1 chip (bear in mind stg 1 uses the std injecotrs)
std = just over 300cc/min
grey = just over 500 cc /min,
thats 2/3 more fuel going in that the chip is expecting. take them out now and put the std ones back intuntil the correct chip has been fitted , this much fuel will fook the bores, piston rings and will make the oil so thin the main bearings may pickup and fook the crank.

Sounds to me like over fuelling too, causing bore wash to cylinders 1 & 4 and all the fuel is going into the sump and mixing with the oil. Remove the injectors and change the oil and filter.
