a friends KA has just failed its MOT on the strut tops, she has some new ones, just wondered how hard they are to fit?

does the whole strut have to come off as i really dont want to be removing all the ARB and track rod end ball joints etc??

if its just strut rubber tops , its a piece of piss , just zip the 15mm nuts off and change top . if its the bearing tops you will have to remove strut by takin lower ball joint, tie rod end and then take pinch bolt out at top of hub and bash the hub down off the strut. not too hard but 1hr and you ll be done.

were quite thick circular rubber parts

hopefully its just the top ones cos i'll be pissed if i gotta remove the lower setup again as i only fitted new lower arms on it last weekend. takes the piss a bit realy. its the first MOT so its only 3 year old..
