Default cooling fan problem???

hi all.. the fans on my 2wd saff come on which seems a lot quicker than they did before do not turn off until about 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off.. the car does not get hot even after ticking over for ages and stays around the R on the NORM... i did have a problem with the wiring and i re wired the live to the fan from the battery with an in line fuse.. im wondering now if maybe this is the problem maybe too much power to the fans..??? any ideas please.. also new pace rad and fan switch.. allong with everything else so im sure its sonething ive messed up.. cheers
