Hello peeps

Im new here and need abit of help , ive just won the auction on ebay for a 1983 rs1600i and im going to collect her tommorow but ive just been looking at the pics the bloke has put up on ebay and its got the side trim of a xr3i now im not sure but out of all the rs's ive seen they dont have that trim , now ok it could of been added which i hope thats all it is but just need some advice really on what to look for on the genuine car ??

if this is the one 4563380192 then it looks ok to me all the rs 1600i had them stickers down the sides and on the bonnet

Its this one and if you look carefully it has the black plastic trim on the sides that comes on the xr3i's

 

weird that it went for 1600 quid aswell, must be real

 

looks ok to me you must have good eyes coz i cant see the plastic trim on the sides and for that money i would think it was real let us know how you get on with it

 

i cant see any plastic trim on the sides either matey

 

think he means the wheel arch spats as per xr3

 

^^^ Yea thats the ones , anyway got it home now cheaked everything v5 etc and everything seems to be in order but she does need a fair bit of work to get her up to scratch cheers for the help anyway much appriecieted
