ok, question is on behalf of a non net using m8

basically, he owns a mk6 escort 1.6 single point injection zetec, and hes been plannin an engine conversion, and sumhow the jammy fool has managed to acquire a focus rs lump, box and full car loom for nxt to nuthing, really cheap, and i mean really cheap. instead of sellin it on he wants to attempt to drop the lump in the escort and enjoy the extra power

i kno this is probs gna b the 1st focus rs lump in an escort so no1 gna kno exact problems he goin to encounter, but ideas as to wot to watch out 4 would b great. hes got evrythin needed to go along with the engine as sed, includin ignition barrel and ecu's, evrythin

also, brakes and suspesion frm sed focus rs, wot r the odds of thi fitting the late spec escort hes got? im thinkin clear issues with susp legs not bein anywhere nr the same. but any other probs ppl can think of, or possible sources 4 solutions. hes running on 17inch wheels so clearance shudnt b an issue ova the large calipers, wel in theory

basicaly any ideas, suggestions, input wud b great. it mite b a crazy project, mite neva wrk, but gotta try, and if it does wrk out it wil b a great car.

the engine etc should fit up perfect, the ancillaries may not, i considered this myself before i turboed mine. loom may need to be fiddled with, just treat the lump as any other zetec turbo

as for suspension, i wouldnt bother but uprate it with normal escort stuff, brakes should go on but brackets may need to be made,
