All i can say mate is stop driveing the car hard till you get the problem resolved, else you may end up melting a plug an recking your engine as i did!

803's should overfuel on a stage 1 chip, I wonder if something is causing the ecu to go into a LOS mode and it's using fixed injector pulses. Sounds like someone who knows Cossie ecu's backwards needs to pipe up.

HI,

Have you the correct plugs, heat range fitted, and haS the co% been set
for and checked on idle and cruise fuelling, you say you have checked fuel pressure, should be approx 3.bar at idle, and 3.5, bar vacuum, pipe off.,
have you done a fuel delivery check to check pump and lines and filter,
check with chip company for co% figures for set up. plus you say injectors
have been tested for flow, we had new and one was faulty untill flushed through
for, about 5min's. and your boost is well below max limit of 3bar setup with 803's,
so cant be that. are you using super unleaded.

JAY,

Well doesent make sence if the boost , fuel pressure, all above is correct, does it
idle ok,(if not may have vacuum leak) as plug colour indicates not suitable by
colour range to engine, lean, were these plugs in both setups ,stage 1 and 3,
if the same plugs, and running lean on both chips 1/3. all above good, try
another set of plug's,,,, when you look at the plug is the insulator of the plug
down in the plug or on the outside of the plug, if cold plug or turbo plug the insulator part should be down in the plug, and a hot or N/A engine plug is longer
on view more, is the engine temp normal,, may be worth checking the coolant temp sensor, the one which tells the ecu the engine temp for mixture related info,
blue sensor , at the rear right side of head inlet manifold side. also have you now
since stage 3, have 3,bar map sensor, as its getting the wrong signals somewhere.

ok dave ive measured cranksensor at ecu plug like the infor said it says 600-1k the sensor read is 666ohms

phase sensor the book says700-1.2k the sensor read is 806 ohms

coolant sensor is to the book

map sensor with ignition on 1.52v book says 2.2v

on idle was 0.6v book says 0.6v

throttle to the book to

so im thinkin to what u said about the plugs mabey there to hot so whats the happy medium for a 2wd

JAY,

Each to there own, but i had ngk's plug's for a bike, 3,plugs one was faulty
after running till engine got warm, so since dont use them, most people
swear by them as best, i buy ford plug's AGPR 12PP8'S UP TO 1.6,BAR,
and AGPR902P COOLER THAN PP8'S, FOR 2,BARMAX,, sensor wise the main sensors to check, map, throttle switch, and coolant temp sensors are all checked,, your map sensor is 3,bar so will have different reading to book data std 2,bar.?? As all seem's to checkout everything above, try plug's Fuel delivery after regulator 2.5litre's a min, or devide by 2 for 30seconds.

JAY,

Waiting on a ecu to run, but keeping it 200bhp, approx untill can
uprate or change box, and clutch, it's a CVH, may put in a full zetec later.
done a lot of work done over the past year, from floor pan's to sill's, inner bays,
engine rebuilt inc L/Balanced, cosworth brakes, etc. just moved into a new unit,
not much left to do.

Mainly as a hobby, been doing cars for approx 19 years
but i may be with a mate who is a fabricator by trade, go into business
doing car under bonnet parts ACCESSORIES, and one off fabrications, and car work FORD, RS, i want to get more into engine after market management ECU'S. and conversion's. i've chipped cars but that is pretty
basic just adding chip, and injectors , checked fuel pressure, set co%
etc. all the main work has been done in the chip. especially
if you start from fresh files,

your problem may be voltage at the fuel pump is low. quite common now due to old wire.
