Default Fitting KONI Suspension

i have just started to fit a koni supension to my Series 2 rst and am wondering how to get the rear brake hose away from the bottom of the rear strut. Do you have to cut the metel away or is there another way of doing it?

Thats what it has done at the front but it looks like sum 1 has weleded a plate to it so that it cant come up clipped. Wasnt sure it it was suppose to pull of like the front or the backs had to have the metal cut away?

The rear is a bit of a bastard to remove the first time as usually it's impossible to undo the without breaking the brake pipe. The most common way is therefore to gently tap it down with a hammer.

basically what you need to do is undo the short brake pipe from the cylinder to the flexi with a 13mm spanner but give it a good waggle back and forth to free it off.then get some vise grips on the metal part off the flexi and try to undo the nut on the other side of the bracket(wd40 helps alot here)you dont need to take it all the way off though. There is a peg on top of this bracket that needs tapping off but if youve undone the nut far enough it shouldnt be a problem.the flexi should then slide done and you can use it again on your new absorber because the brackets not battered.did it the other day on mine not to bad.
