on a big turbo escort cosworth what would a brooklands conversion consist off and how would i know if thats what my engine is?
where the brooklands conversions mostly 2.4?

Nothing is shown in the paper work for the car i bought relevant to it but its got several brooklands etchings around the car and when i opened up the ecu the chip is on a baby board with brooklands written on the board and also etched onto the top of the chip!

I know its a bit of a long shot but could this have had a brooklands conversion, just didnt want to rip it out over the weekend to put in my new engine and find im removing something a bit rare!

You could phone then to ask, if there still trading that is.

not sure how you could tell if it's a 2.4 block though, could just be a chip change conversion.

don't you mean brooklyn? as in the ford dealership in redditch that was involved with cossie tuning from the start, they used to do a 2.4 conversion.
give them a ring with the reg number they may have info on it
