a brief spec of whats been done,mountune engine, 4x4 saff engine and abs loom . escort p8 ecu. the problem seems to be a lack of earth conections from the ecu.ie the fuel pump relay has no earth,the i s c v has no earth.i wired my own relay for the fuel pump.and the engine will start and run if i keep my foot on the throttle. the earth from the injector loom is ok. so has anybody got a idea of whats wrong? crank sensor and phase sensor gaps are ok.all the wires at the multi plugs have been cut and soldered.

 

The fuel pump relay and the ISCV both earth through the ECU and as such don't have their own earths.

 

there should be 2 earthe form the ecu pinms that come through the bulkhead and earth on the back of th inlet manifold, from pins, 1 and 19 IIRC..
