Hi I am new to the forum and was looking for some help.

I have recently bought a S2 RST and took it to get set up at DASTEK my local tuners. I got it back yesterday and was told that they didn't do a power run as when under load there was a noise from the small end and they felt it was too unsafe to do a full power run.

I was out in it last night and the power seems to come on and be strong then going up the revs it seems to fade and then the power comes back again. I also heard a knocking noise, like a ticking sound from the engine bay last night but only when i was going above 60.

Could someone tell me if this would be expensive to fix as I don't have a clue what the small end is and what parts are in the small end

Had the same noise

Replaced cam (Piper 285t2 Ł300 + Pulley Ł90) new shells on big end and it solved the problem.

don't think there are any small ends on an s2 aren't they a press fit?

det sounds like a ticking noise...only if its really bad!
