Im fianally getting my 1.8 zetec engine in this weekend and im still in 2 minds weather to use the zetec gearbox i got out of an orion thats covered 100k or use my 1.1 gearbox thats covered 50k i know the ratios are different obviously but i would like the quick accelleration of the 1.1 gearbox but will it be bad on the motorway at top end? as i dont want it screaming its tits off at 70 mph any info would be great

If you want more top end use the 1.8 if you want quicker accelleration then use the 1.1. If i were you id use the 1.8 if there is nothing wrong with it and go for more top end as i dont think the 1.1 will be that much quicker on the pullaway.
