check the banjo pipes onto the turbo, if these leak , the heat makes the water evaporate and u dont see any drips could still be a head gasket as it doent allways blow through both oil and water ways, get a emmisions probe in the header tank to see if combustion gasses are being forced into the cooling systm through the head gasket,

another one that i found with mine was one of the coere plugs in the head on the inlet side had gone porous and was leaking, again you couls never see any drips...

another spot is just under #4 exhaust port, the water seeps out at the head gasket joint but evaporates before u can see it and its very hot down there to put your hand and check it.so a tell tale sign is a brown/orange stain,or you can use a mirror on a stalk to check it with the engine running

they are new banjos and washers had a emission thing in header tank but that seemed to be fine but there is rusty coloured marks down by exhaust port 4, when you stop the engine you can hear it dripping and sizzling

its more than likely head gasket gone then if its a standard gasket replace it with a group "A" one as there a stronger type of gasket,it should have the number 0611 at the front and top side

same problem as you mate.i did my head gasket last year i put a cometic one on.earlier on this year it started using water, but no leaks.i whipped the head of and the gasket was fine.i had the block flat checked and it was warped.so now im doing a build.both surfaces have to be perfect to use a cometic gasket.so my advice would be to get your block checked out.my gasket didnt look like it would ever make a good enough seal again, and that was cometic.so personally i dont think they are re usable.although there are probably a lot of people on here who will disagree.i rang the guy at cometic and he was very helpfull.hope this helps.

Before you start spending big bucks check out the carpets either side of the heater matrix for damp.
My Cosworth was loosing water for a while and i couldn't trace where it was going, but one day whilst cleaning inside i noticed the carpet und underlay were sopping wet. I dipped my finger in the puddle and tasted the sweetness associated with anti freeze !!
Cheaper to replace the heater matrix but still a bitch of a job

I had the same problem but after finding it the problem it was found to be a cracked head ! The only reason we found it was due to having a very fine vapour of spray water coming out the exhaust !

But try all the simple stuff first !

Have you checked the metal pipe at the bottom of the rad, these allways rust and leak.
