Default Soft brake pedal

I already asked on general forum, but maybe here it will be more visible and somebody will comeup with an idea. I'm running standard Escos brake system. Is tehre anything else then air trapped n the system that can make the pedal feel very soft and raise after pushing it a couple of times? I happened only after pads and discs change :-/

Funny you should bring this up, as I’ve started to encounter the same issue with my Escort Cossie. I’ve got Tarox 6 pots on the front of mine and does the same. If I just tap the pedal a few times, push in about 1 to 2 cm, the feel comes right to the top. Feels great like this, so will try and have a look at this some time. If I find the solution, I’ll let you know.

Cheers
John

In your case I would say there is some air in the system as well. The problem is that mine is much more serious. It really soft, makes car undrivable exept for a very slow run to the workshop.

Checked about everything that came to my mind. Bled the brakes according to the procedure in Cosworth manual. Checked al the caliper munts and pads, checked all the lines. The pedal still feels soft although the disc and pads are now bed in a little aetter and it started to brake a bit. I still can't belive it can be all down to DS2500's it just doesn't feel right even after some kilometrs of going at full thrrotle with lots of braking.
