Fitted a 4x4 cooler to a mates Sapphire lastnight only to find the radiator wouldn't fit underneath it

So had to remove it and stick the 2wd cooler back on

Do you have to use a 4x4 rad with the cooler or is there another way to sort it ??

just bend the top radiator lugs down GENTLY so that the cooler fits in u may have to also shorten/cut the boost pipes down abit

 

on mine, i cut off the top lugs of the rad, and moved them across to where they need to be to fit to the 4x4 intercooler and rewelded them.

if you just bend them over as alvyn suggests, the radiator and intercooler will no longer be joined (by the rubber dampers). this could lead to either heat exchanger core failing early through fatigue.
