Default Transit Hubs/brake assemblies

Bit of an "out there" question but im just trying to find out what people know

im looking to be able to fit larger brakes (maybe cossie 280mm??) and normal ford wheels to a transit van for a project im planning

ive had a very quick look at the hub assembly but im not sure if its the same as anything off sierra or other fords as ive never really worked on any of them before

so what would need done to fit some 280mm ish brakes to transit and end up with normal (4 or 5 stud) ford fitment

i realise the wheels could maybe be fitted with some kinda adaptor plates but the transit already has a ET50 offset so even if i find some ET45 alloys fitting adaptor plates will bring it down to et35 at the very least and thats just gonna mean the wheels stick out and look gay so i recon a proper hub swap is the way to go

ive got a very old backissue of a redline magasine somewhere and theres a cossie powered transit in there with some huge brakes (AP maybe?) and its got 18" TVR alloys on it so it must be possible

Ideas please
