just a little question

are there any markings on gearboxes so u can tell which is the rs LSD box or say a 3I box??

think i saw some numbers on the n/s of my box on the diff housein would this be the number?

I think if you look through the hole where the driveshafts go in on a box with an lsd you should be able to look straight through with nothing crossin the hole 2 other side. on 3i box there is a bar that crosses the hole. Dont quote me to this though! I aint sure.

 

just jack it up, turn one wheel, if the other wheel moves, it has a lsd

knew about the spinnin the wheel one just wasnt sure if i was lookin at a box off a car so i didnt get a wrong un

maybe im talking out me arse here but im almost certain the std diff will rotate the other wheel the opposite direction if both wheels are off the ground and u turn one side?

so perhaps a sign of an LSD would be they both turn the same way?

 

hello mate when u turn 1 of the wheels the other should turn the same way and the code on the box should start with the letters WFO i think i hope that helped u

 

Your gearbox is an S2 box with uprated bearings and lsd.

Unless it was changed from when McPikey had it.
