iv just brought a mk2 xr2.i got it cheap coz it didnt have a carb.iv fitted a carb which i got from a running xr3.the problem is it will tick over fine but when i push the throttle down it splutters and dies.i have 2 put my foot flat 2 the floor 4 it 2 run. any one know what might b causing this.

 

mate have you checked the setting on the engine like ign & cam timing also the carb might want resetting or it might have a blocked jet

 

it was working fine when i fitted the carb it started doing it after i had driven about 3 miles. if its a blocked jet would it b the main jet or what.
