Default Saph gauges

(Cross posted from Sierra section - apologies if this is not allowed)

Hi all

I've got a J plate 4x4 saph (facelift dash).. and was wondering about common mounting places for gauges.

I know on the pre-facelift ones (like I used to have) you could remove the center two vents and put a banking plate with between 1 and 3 gauges in there... can this be done with the facelift version? or would it just be on the pillars ?

Also... what do people suggest I get... I was definitly thinking Boost...as I have no idea what it is running at the moment... but maybe oil temp ? any others ? bearing in mind I know nothing about cars/cossie's and it's all way over my head...

Cheers in advance peeps

Also...can anyone recommend what gauges to use ?

I was looking at these on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT but didn't know how good they'd be...

or possibly the racex digital ones...

does anyone know of any problems with these... or if they're hard to fit... easier/better alternatives ?

Cheers

I would get an oil pressure gauge as well. Very handy for monitoring whats happening when on full boost. Autometer gauges are very good and are pretty accurate. take a look at this website:
