Default Startup Clunk

My 2015 has always had a rumbly, clunk on starting the engine. I always put this down to the stock RMM. I have recently put on a Whoosh RMM, and now it;s a really sharp violent clunk. Is this normal, or is there something else I should be looking at?

You don't actually say what car this is, just the year...
But based on the Whoosh RMM, guessing Fiesta? The mount is obviously far more rigid and so NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will obviously increase. That said, if its actually a "clunk" as in a one off noise rather than a rattle or vibration, chances are its something loose. Is it on engine crank or when the engine initially starts? Does it repeat at all under any other conditions - moving/braking/revving at idle etc etc
