Fuel pipe hose
Would the use of standard rubber fuel hose with the fuel hose jubilee type clamps be a suitable replacement for the fuel pump to metal fuel line on a escort RS turbo ?
Plenty of people have gone braided. I don't think i'd want "standard rubber" running that entire length - too easy to get cut/bashed about by road debris alone. I'd personally stick to metal where possible. Its easier to support that length as well when its a stiffer material
It is only the section from the pump to the metal pipe (hard plastic pipe runs around the tank) I would obviously get the reinforced rubber just wondering if a fuel clamp would be enough to stand the fuel pressure where I would connect it to the metal pipe ? Just don’t wanna spend ŁŁŁ on a braided one when I can make one myself. TIA
Plenty of proper EFI rubber hose available, but "Jubilee"/worm drive clamps are never the correct type of clamp for small diameter hoses. Absolute butchery to use them.
These are the correct type of clamps.
These are the correct type of clamps.
