hello friends ..why use cooper rings .what for ?is fine working with them ?is for big boost ?

 

Why ? Who said they do ? Who does ?

 

I remember in the 90's reading about them being done on big boost Cossies but haven't heard of it on here at all so I assume head gaskets have moved on a lot since then.

 

head gaskets...head studs...block assembly, tuning....they all have a role.

it isnt to say some ring systems may not have their place...but again we need some background to this very vague comment.

 

mine still has the grooves in from the past,long studded and steel headgasket now

It may do...it depends what you're comparing it to and who has done the work...and whether the engine needs it or not.

Shops tell lots of stories to sell things.

But you're giving so little detail, it's impossible to give an answer

 

I've seen it mentioned in specs of older yb's in ads surely if it were better or as good as today's options it would still be used can't say I've heard any tuners builders doing this nowasays
