1980s_rs

Hey everyone

I have a few problems with my car I I fitted a s2 rs turbo engine and loom into my car and I’m left with a few problems I can’t seem to sort 1st one being I have no boost whatsoever. I have checked all vacuum pipes and boost pipes and they are all fitted as they should it is fitted with a dump valve which the piston inside seems to open and close like it should. I have noticed that the amal valve does not seem to click when you switch the ignition on I have removed this and tried in on a friends s2 and as soon as he switches on ignition mine clicks too. Is there anyway of testing the wiring to the Amal valve to try and find out what is going on???
And secondly the Rev counter doesn’t seem to want to go over 2000rpm also any ideas on what to check?
