Mk5 escort central locking drivers door
Hi guys
new to site have central locking problem with finished mk5 escort 1600 ghia saloon project
drivers door central locking won't lock so put new lock solinoid which attaches to back of lock inside door
. With the two tits on when turning key hits plastic tit to tell door to lock or open
still does not lock . But if unplugged can lock passenger door which locks all three other doors and boot
and have to lock drivers door manual unplugged from central locking . Pulled all plugs out sprayed with electric plug oil put then all back plugged doir back in try to lock car but lock motors go lock the car then reverse back to open drivers door is the problem before I go buying any more parts for it . Is there
any thing else I can check or any ideas from forums what might be causing the door central locking not to lock drivers doir , before I have to take it to garage cost load of money to fix . Thanks any answers or info would be much appreciated to sort problem does something need resetting .
