Default Temperature sender for dashboard

Hi everyone,

I am converting my car from the stock 2.3L turbo to a YBB it appears. I however can not locate the threaded opening for the temperature gauge sender. I have all new sensors from Brands Hatch and that is the only one I can not locate on my block. The engine is a 205 block. Is there any difference of location between the 205 and the 200 blocks?

Thanks everyone!
Trevor

Water temp sender for the dash is at the front end of the exhaust side of the cylinder head.

Water temp sensor is at back of inlet side of the head.

Thanks Ridgey,

I have located the area but am wondering if the previous engine owner plugged it off but there is no block plug so far as I can tell. Do guys commonly remove them? I live in Canada that is why I ask.

Are you able to take a picture?

You can get temp senders that you cut in to the water hose if you are not worried about original fitment?

I will try to post a picture from my phone. Looks like the previous owner put a blanking plug in the head as I found some teflon tape right by the thermostat housing.
