Default Banana engine in a p100

Afternoon mentlegen, I've got a Sierra p100 but it's missing the big noisy thing under the bonnet.. Now I've looked into BMW 325tds conversions along with awd audi gear with is a bit more daring. But as il probably only sell it after I've done it all I'd like to go with something a bit more simple and that's where the banana engine comes into it. Has anyone done it themselves? Easy/hard? What box and axle can I use? Any pointers would be great. Ta

why would you want to fit one of those slow noisy heavy old things? fitting a petrol engine from a sierra, granada or scorpio would be easy, or just look for the 1.8td that was fitted originally. there's one on ebay for £600 at the moment including gearbox

Easy to run/maintain.. Got one sat in a truck to be used.. It won't just be a standard Di though. I was tempted by an XUD as I know what they can do. I'm more of a diesel man myself unless a nice v8 came about then il stick with the coal
