Default Puma 1.7 engine work

Evening all. Im after some advise/help. Im currently converting a mk4/mk5 fiesta into a track day car using the puma 1.7 engine. I want to give it a bit of a birthday before i fit it but im struggling to find either piston rings or forged pistons. My plan is to cam it and all the other mod cons. Can any one advise what to do or where to go. Thanks.

Have you tried Oc motorsport? I'm sure forged parts need custom made for these

The 1.6 stuff is off the shelf
The 1.7 stuff normally ( used to ) needs to be made

I could be wrong but I think it may be better to put money into a 1.6
As people do get good results with them for not to much money
