Default sierra cosworth strut brace help!

Hello. I need some help and advice. I ordered a pair of omp strut braces for my car. mk3 fiesta cosworth. the car is running complete sierra floor pan inner wings turrets etc etc. I built the car myself no know its sierra! anyway I fitted the rear brace straight on not a single problem at all. the front however!! I have confirmed with the supplier of the brace that the measurments of the brace are correct. but it is too wide for the front turrets! it doesn't matter if I angle the ends at all it still doesn't change. has anybody else every had this problem ? if so or is nobody has any suggestions does anybody else know where I can get the strut brace from in the other picture please ? also would anybody beable to measure on there sierra the distance between the two front turrets please. thanks.

Surely the fiesta has a thinner body shell and so the measurement across the strut tops is thinner? Did the floor pan go in 100% complete?

I would have thought you would have used the tunnel and inner wings but kept a lot of the fiesta bulkhead and grafted to that so surely that's where you lost a bit of width to fit under the fiesta dimensions?

I know the track on my 205 pug 4x4 Cos is thinner than a Sierra by about 40mm.
And you are obviously talented enough to cut n shut that lot in there why don't you mod the strut brace? Probably just needs a middle bit cutting out and the re powder coat?

I used the complete sierra floorpan and bulkhead. The fiesta is narrower. And I narrowed the floor pan but from the sills not the middle. Everything lines up everything fits as it should just not this strut brace. I agree I can cut it and shorten it. But surely I shouldn't have too!

Sounds like you need to offer it up to a Sierra. I take it all Sierra variants , 3 door, saphs 2 & 4 wd plus XR Range were all exact same width at that point?

Can anyone on here measure strut to strut for you?
