is there a set procedure just fitted a second hand m cylinder/abs assembly/accumulator. when bleeding it keeps locking out pedal goes solid then the pump starts getting hot. workshop manual says bleed fronts first then rears thats new to me i was allways taught at colleage start furthest away from the m cylinder. when i crack the brake pipes of at the master cylinder the pedal goes down again pushing fluid out of the m cylinder. i might of been guilty of not doing half pumps any advise would be great round two 2morow

I thought it was rears first. I have read on here of people using a syringe and back feeding which makes a lot of sense. I tend to use a pressure feed along with suction and bleed it that way and pump the brake.
