Default Cossie Alternator wiring HELP

Hi Guys, I need a bit of help as I don't think my alternator is wired correctly and I am fitting a new one.

Here is the pic of the new one, I need to know what wires to connect to W, B+ and D+ as in what do they do.

I am pretty certain that D+ goes to the dash light, the other side of the light goes to switched positive so no engine running the light is ON, then when the alternator is operating you end up with double live and therefore no light.

The other 2 are obviously lives but where do they go, I assume one is direct to battery? B+...is that just it and W does nothing?

This is on my 205 Pug but Cossie motor

there are only 3 wires to hook up and from what i can remember of them you are correct in your assumptions

but make sure before you hook it all up, i've been known to make a mistake in the past

Oddly Dojj,

I have got only 2 wires to play with and at the moment they are both connected on the same terminal.

One is the big battery wire and the other is the battery light....oddly, at the moment I have one side of battery light connected to IGN+ and the other goes to the alternator, with the battery connected the light goes on (no key in ignition) so I cannot fathom where the light is getting its earth from? Then I turn on the ign and the light goes out.

Seems I also need to add a diode for my lamp line according to the instructions on my solid state battery isolator

Good old amazon prime, orders the diode last night and arrived this afternoon (Sunday), fitted it and now the alternator light functions as it should again, I ran the battery down to 10.5 volts with lights, then started the engine, light when dim, gave it a Rev, light went out and stayed out at tickover. The toucan screen is showing about 13.5 v when driving along.
