Default diy porting/polishing

anyone done this and had any success? im thinking of doing my cvh head .not going mental maybe just using a flap disc to remove all the rough cast back to smooth.the videos on youtube tell you to offer up the gaskets and take it back to match.if im honest this would be more than i'd want to remove to match the burton power gaskets i have.

Yeah I had a go once, just polished in the ports started with wet & dry finished with brasso, did make a difference

Next step would be to remove the valve guides not quite sure how though
