Default focus st225 ,can the valves be reground with out problems !!

Hello my focus st's head gasket went on her i have removed the head to find a hairline crack at the top of cylinder 2 so engine will be coming out as the local engineering lad said he could bore out the old liner and fit a new one ! hopefully.
But to top it of i checked my head to see if the valves were tight using the water method and about 6 valves are weeping water out of them very slowly

can the valves be reground with the old ruff and smooth paste with out messing with shims etc as the solid tappets are all individual thicknesses for each valve i am led to be leave ??

Only real way to know is to re measure the clearances?

inlet 0,17-0,23 mm Cold
exhaust 0,37-0,43 mm Cold.
