Bosch 403 injector end/needle/pin

I've got a set of grey injectors 403. One of the ends/needle bit is missing or snapped will this affect the running?

the injector nozzle is the important part to get the correct spray pattern

I haven't a pic but yes the little nozzle sort of a pin right on the end of the injector. Can they get stuck inside the injector?
