my son has a ford ka 2002,its his first car and for low insurance purposes hes got to have a tellematic black box which was delivered the other day its only a plug in thing which I thought plugged into where the fuses are near the steering wheel but theres nowhere for it to go,,its like a diagnostic plug ,,,can anyone help

 

Passenger side footwell is the diagnostic port on the left in front of the door behind a flap.
