tyre size help

im gonna be fitting sum 16" alloys to my mk5 fiesta
and need to no what tyes i need
the alloys are 7j wide
195/40's????
205/40's????

The correct size depends on what was standard size.
To keep correct speedometer readings you should stay close to the original wheel+tyre diameter (the girth is what it is all about).

well it had 185/55/14's as standard
