Default Help please

Hi , I own a Focus, 2003/4 Focus zetec 1.8 auto and have a problem.

When starting the car , nothing lights up ,or turns over.. I thought dead battery.

went to jump start , but on connecting leads (even when the other car was not running) , heard a click and was able to start and run my car.. central locking and electric windows working ok.

So I gave it a good run 20 miles no problems. but when I turned on on the heater
heard a click and car cut out.. no drive/power.

same process I went to jump start again . on connecting jump leads, every thing sprung to life again.., on way home flashed my high beam to let another driver go.... car cut out again.

is their a master cut out, and why would it trip. ?
many thanks for your help

Sounds like the battery is dead, can you try another? If this doesn't fix then I would get the alternator checked.

Another sign of flat battery is the clocks do a sweep test don't they ?
