Default Speed Sensor Ford Focus

Hello Everyone

I have been told advised that my speed sensor on my ST170 04 plate needs replacing.

has anyone else replaced this before and know where it is located and how to replace it? also does anyone know what it does? does it connect the clutch to the wheels?

on eBay they have just the plastic bracket or a whole loom? which should i get?

Thanks a lot

As far as i know it sits on the back/top of the gearbox. if you jack the car up you should be able to see it better from underneath
Hope this helps mate

Be prepared that it might not be a simple component swap over as there held in by a roll pin and they don't like coming out
