I am 72 years old and am maintaining the car by myself.
Recently I changed the Oil Filter, Air filter, Coolant and cleaned the MAF.
The car now exhibit excellent drive characteristic and very pleasant to drive.
Now I am planning to change the Fuel Filter also. But I heard air block may create problem if you are not careful. Please let me know the details of Assembly and technical precautions to be taken. I tried in the net but looks like it is protected item.
I am attaching the photo of the items insitu original and the new one I purchased (After market).
Have a can of clean diesel to hand, you will need to fill the new filter to the top with diesel once installed, the fuel lines will have air in them so if the engine does not have a hand priming pump you will need to get one to force the last remaining air from the filter. I had to do this on my Focus with a similar fuel pump, took me about 3 hours to get it started. I was only able to get it running once I got hold of the pump

Thank you,
Luckily my car has primer pre installed.
What my observations with the new filter are:
Sensor and heater connections are not pre installed hence I have to dismantle these items from the Original and install it on the new one.
Here I want to know what pre-caution one has to take???
Thanks in advance
