hoping somebody can shed some light on the issues im have with my mk3 xr3i. after a rebuild im having trouble getting the headlights to work properly ,ive got mainbeam and side lights although mainbeam on drivers headlight is a little dim.no dipped beam at all and no light on the dash to indicate lights on but do get the blue light with mainbeam on when you pull stalk towards you,rear lights and number plate lights all working as they should .really wanted it mot'd this week but this is stopping me thanks in advance,matty

 

could be the stalk
check the output with a meter
the bulb on the dash comes on with the sidelighs

 

thanks im pretty sure they were working before dismantling the car how exactly do you check the stalk with a meter

 

Check your earths are good.
