hi all im having problems with my escort rs turbo running roughly.ive been told it could be several things so sorting them 1 at a time.ive changed the leads etc and have ordered a new fuel pump.im just wondering what the symptoms are of a faulty coolant temp sensor and a faulty charge air temp sensor?or are they the same thing?

 

they are not the same thing.

a faulty coolant temp sensor would make the car run like dumb, hard start, excessive fuel, etc. so it will run rough, too, however, it will surely light up your engine fault light.
if there's nothing wrong on the instrument panel, I don't think there's a problem.

a charge air temp sensor fault will do about the same effects maybe with less strenth.
