I've got a 2006 mk 7 transit 2.2 TDCi that randomly cuts out whilst driving and the dash lights up, dials stop working and "-------" just appears where the mileage is. it usually only cuts out when the engine is warm but temp gauge is at normal, got a trouble code which was P2265- water in fuel sensor. Replaced with genuine part filter but still stalls. Sometimes after stalling it simply refuses to start. I crack of one of the fuel pipes and no fuel going to injectors. Something is telling it to switch off and not pump fuel. I'm thinking Maybe crank/camshaft sensor? Any ideas?

 

I know from my Focus MK1 that ------ on the milage means the ECU is off and not sending information to the clocks. The clocks get EVERYTHING apart from a few warning lights from the ECU. Id be checking the multiplug on the ECU itself and checking for bad grounds.
