ok this happens only on right hand bends... regardless of speed.
light rumbling/grinding noise on slight to full right bends, from the left front wheel area.
theres no play in bearing/shock top mount/track control arm ect
no excess play in shaft/rack
doesnt get louder with braking / acceleration.
wheels do rub on full lock but its happening on slight turns too.
its a mk4 escort xr3i on standard turbo shocks ect.
didnt do this before i swaped the engines around. mot station doesnt wanna look into the problem... they passed it when i asked them to go over it for pre mot... failed on 2 rear tyres and some untidy welding. help!
this is my last call before ford charges me 88 quid an hour plus parts

even tho theres no play do not rule out wheel bearings. Does it sound like theres something stuck up your arch, that kind of sound or like your dragging something? If yes, then its your bearing. Exact thing happened to me the other week.
If not check the rubbers in the top of the strut havent dried out, and just generally clean up all the suspension round there. also if that doesnt help splash some water over all the parts, take it for a spin. is it quieter now? if so then something has/is drying out
