boreing a 1800 zetec to 2000cc

Hi
I have a 1800 zetec block that was givon to me. I was wondring if i can bore it to 2000cc and use 2L pistons because i dont wont to buy a 2L block or are the 2L difrent

i think the 2 litre blocks have under piston oil jets? ur probly better getting a 2litre bottm end anyway... overboring takes the block nearer to its outer limits.
ull still need water pump n sump ect from the 1.8 id imagine. for the cost of pistons and labour involved... but a 2litre with a brken cam belt

NOOOOO!
2L bore is some 4mm+ larger than 1.8L - that runs a good chance of breaking through into the water jacket, never mind making it weak in the extreme...
2.0L blocks have siamesed bores to enable that 85mm or so size of bore to be possible.
