I have a 57 reg Focus and the air con isn't working properly. I took advantage of a special offer to have it sorted and regassed at a garage I have never used before. They couldn't regas it they said because the pipe had a split in it and wouldn't take the pressure. They wanted £90 for a new pipe plus a half hour labour for fitting. I left quickly.
Can anybody tell me where this pipe is located as there is nothing in the owners manual about air con. Any help would be really appreciated.

 

Depends which pipe it is, there is plenty in an air con system. The pipes new certainly aren't cheap so I would have thought their quote is about right.
