Default Mk3 escort gas problems

Hello guys, I have an old mk3 escort ghia, it have ford VV carb and recently i found out that with 10liters of fuel i can go only 40km in cruise mode. This blew my mind, i checked for any possible leaks in the line of fuel pipes = none, there are no leakage at all. Gas tank seems fine, didnt saw any cracks or leakage too. Engine runs kinda rough, vibrates, but i thought thats how all CVH engines are supposed to run, aka (known for their harsh, full of vibrations ride).

Secondly i noticed that from exhaust there are some drops of black-ish liquid possibly gasoline or just condensate, there are some black smoke when you put on the gas, but not much. When you put your foot down it accelerates normally, no lag or sluggish acceleration.

Any ideas? Maybe carb needle needs replacement? Or should i just try to find a new carb instead?
P.s where i live these fords are really rare, there are no place to get used parts, no one sells carb repair kits (for such carb) Maybe in all my country there are 10 mk3 fords left, no rs or xr3 models, only common ones. So i am in a really crappy situation, plus my budget isn't big. :/ any suggestions and help would be much appreciated.

P.s I have 2V webber DFTM carb from 1.4litre model, maybe it is possible to swap them? (carb is with inlet manifold too, but i think 1.4 inlet is little bit too small for 1.6 block?)
