i just bought a silvertop lump , never dabbled around with efi before really, so never needed sensors etc . but i just had a quick look and theres pipes coming of the exhaust manifold that go into a black unit. is it some sort of early egr? can i just remove and plug up he holes ? im keeping standard efi. cheers.

 

Yes just remove it and plug the holes. You can buy the egr blanking plugs.

 

They are pipes to warm the CAT up quicker. Best bet is to visit a scrappy and grab a manifold off a later Escort and fit that as these didn't have these pipes fitted at all
