Hi all on the way to work my zetec (blacktop) engine blew (bottom end) the engine is in my mk4 3i running bike carbs so not a lot of power it's lost no oil and was just wondering if anyone's had this before and can I prevent it with the next engine

Oil pump failure?

 

To many areas to cover ... you need to see where the issue lies first was it oil starvation fuel starvation ...fuel bore wash etc

 

I'm going to get the sump pulled of and have a look how will I know if it's a fuel issue I've worked on cars for years but always fuel injection so not clued up on the carbs bogg brothers supplied the manifold and carbs so should be pretty close
