Default Escos Central Locking

The central locking in my Escort Cosworth is playing up.

Basically the central locking has been disconnected since I've had the car, yesterday I took the door cards off and connected the central locking, but all it does is open and close in a cycle

When doors are open it locks and unlocks straight away over and over again, but when doors are closed it just stays locked, even if I unlock the door it automatically locks again straight away.

Anyone any suggestions, do I need new motors??

Any help would be great

Thanks
