Electric servo wiring
Hi guys,
I'm new and I'm stuck, the electric servo that I am trying to retro fit to my street legal drag car has 5 pins, 3 at the bottom and 2 at the top! From what I have read it is the pin on the far right of the lower 3 = ignition power! and the far left of the lower 3 is power out to the relay that goes to the pump.
Please can some one confirm this as I need it running this weekend, or possibly take a picture or explain what it should be, I'm not interested in abs or any other function except power brakes.
Cheers Darren

what car is the servo from?
have you got the 5-way plug with tails ?
If sierra/escort cossie, and "yes", then you need the brown wire and the brown/black. If you haven't got tails, but the servo is from a cossie, I'll try to get the terminal locations for you tomorrow.

Hey Jon,
I believe it for a Cossie but possibly a granny, its the servo with the black ball to the side and the green pressure switch with the 5 pins, 3 at the bottom and 2 at the top, I rigged it up on the bench, poured fluid in the resevour and fired the pump upwith 12v to the motor, it runs fin and pumped fluid all over the work shop (not so great) so then i blocked the pressure hole that would normaly go to the master cylinder and it hummed along nicely for 30 second while I attempted to meter the 5 pins (not knowing that the switch is powered. from what i have read black/brown = 12 ignition, brown is earth, but what triggers the replay?? or should the earth of the switch meaning the brown go to the relay???
please not all i have is the complete master cylinder servo setup, i have no connectors at all unfortunately, so colour dont mean a thing to me. Look forward to hearing from ya as i plan to race the car tomorrow.
Cheers darren
